Laura Hasenstab lived in the house for about 25 years. She started a Chihuahua rescue from her home here. Sadly I didn’t get to meet her since she passed away about 9 months prior to my purchasing the house. She was a very spiritual person with an intimate shrine in the living room and a delicate rock garden that still exists today. I hope that she would have been pleased with how her home got transformed.

First floor landing with ceramic watch dogs. The peel-and-stick floor seen here covered almost the entire second floor.

Second floor sitting room. I divided this room into a closet accessed from the hall and a large walk-in closet off the front bed in what I’m calling ‘the office’.
